Menorca Ferries

About us

menorcaferries.com is an independent comparison and information site for ferry connections to Menorca. It covers the routes from Barcelona and Valencia on the Spanish mainland, from Toulon in France, and from Alcúdia on Mallorca, arriving in Maó (Mahón) or Ciutadella. The routes are operated by several shipping companies, among them Trasmediterranea (Trasmed), Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV), Baleària, Corsica Ferries and Menorca Lines.

Menorca has two ferry ports and they sit at opposite ends of the island, Maó in the east and Ciutadella in the west. That one fact shapes most of the planning. The conventional boats from Barcelona and Valencia tie up in Maó, while the fast ferries from Barcelona, the short hop from Port d'Alcúdia on Mallorca and the seasonal sailing from Toulon all land in Ciutadella. Arrive at the wrong end and you still have the length of the island ahead of you. So we list each route by its port pair first, then the operator, the crossing time and how often it sails, and note what changes once a vehicle is on the ticket.

What this site is not

menorcaferries.com is an independent guide. We are not the official website of Trasmediterranea, GNV, Baleària, Corsica Ferries, Menorca Lines or any other shipping company operating on these routes. We are not a Menorca travel guide and not a hotel portal: sights, hotel bookings, flights and car rental deliberately stay out of scope. The focus stays on the ferry crossing itself.
